• Cinematic storytelling principles
• Conflict. Theme. Genre. Tone

Plotting tools

• Story Line. Synopsis.Log Line.
• Outlines. Tools and techniques for plotting
• The 1st Treatment.

Session 2

Screenplay structure:

• Structure types: linear and non linear.
• 1st act: Inciting incident. First plot point.
• 2nd Act: Sub plots. Second Plot Point and Mid point.
• 3rd Act: Climax and Endings.

Session 3

Scene design

• Scene Format.
• Scene structure. Writing with Beats. Turning point.
• Subtext in the Scene.
• Visual Transitions.

Session 4

Characters

• Back story.
• The Biography and the three levels of Characters
• Goals and character motivations.

Dialogues

• Dialogue Techniques: Set up and pay off, trigger,repetition,unexpected response.
• Writing subtext in Dialogues.
• The pause and rhythm.
• The golden rules for dialogues
