The main objective of this session is the approach to the migration phenomenon from the public management perspective, identifying which elements must be taken into consideration when developing migration policies. A comparative view is required in order to understand which are the key factors required to design the public immigration policies.
The conference series "The future is intercultural" wants to be a guide to open a door that leads to reflection, debate and discussion on the migratory phenomenon and the ethnic minorities, but, and specially, on the coexistence of diversity in democratic societies.
On this occasion, the guest speaker will be Nando Sigona, Chair of International Migration and Forced Displacement in Birmingham University.
The seminar will be chaired by Gemma Pinyol, director of Migratory and Diversity Policies in Instrategies.
The seminar will be conducted in English only.
